You should be prepared to demonstrate your understanding of every homework problem on the whiteboard each day. Homework assignments should be organized in a notebook and they should always be complete, neat, and legible so that you can review problems in detail with the class. Homework will be checked infrequently and without prior notice. The written component of your final grade will be comprised almost entirely of lab reports. Homework will include handouts, book problems, and lab reports. All assignments are posted on the web (). You will have homework almost every night. Homework is designed to help you practice answering questions and solving problems BEFORE you see them on a test or the AP exam. Work done outside of class is critical to your success with AP Physics. In order to be eligible to retake a test, you will be required to show evidence of your NEW preparation including well-documented corrections to the original test. If you are absent on a test-day (and no preceding classes), you will be expected to make-up the test during the next school day. You may be offered (on a rare occasion) the opportunity to retake a test. The tests will have a similar format to the AP exam: a combination of multiple choice and free-response questions. There will be a test at the end of each unit. You will be tested on material from many sources including your textbook, movies, class discussions, homework, and laboratory work/reports.
